Needs better antenna July 29, 2010 Edgar Smith (Stella, NC) If your stations aare more than 10 miles away you need to purchase a booster antenna.
Good basic TV for the price July 8, 2010 D. Witham (Alexandria, VA) Bought this little TV about six months ago, after waiting for a well-known manufactuer like Philips to enter the portable-digital TV market. Easy to use, solid reception even in our hillside and tree-covered location. Takes about 3-1/2 hours to fully charge; the TV batteries last about three hours, but I was able to extend the play time another 5 hours with a Duracell Mobile 100 Power Source. Great TV May 4, 2010 Gene (Tennessee) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this tv for emergencies. Picks up the weather channel best. It meets all my requirements for quality and ease of use. My only complaint is with accessories. It did not include an automobile power adapter. Just might want to take it with me camping. When I did my initial scan the tv picked up 18 channels. Correct positioning of the antenna helps. Works better outside than inside.
Don't buy this portable TV May 3, 2010 DOMENICO LUIGI CANTE MATA (Caracas, Venezuela) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
When I bought this portable TV, I expected that if this TV is a PHILLIPS is great because it has international warranty and it is a high quality product, but it didn't happen, because after 2 months of buying, it arrives to mi country, and when I turn it on, not signal appeared, I changed all features and options in setup but no signal appeared on TV, even air or cable signal, I contact to an authorized technical service in Venezuela, and after 3 weeks of revision, they told me that TV video card is damaged, and they are waiting for replacement, and I am waiting for it. So I don't recommend this portable TV because this reason.
Now Authorized technical service told me that this portable tv, works with only free digital TV signal and thats the problem that on my country it doesnt exist, i will return this item, but i'm very disapointed because this information is not showed on tv features or description on amazon page.
Waste of money May 3, 2010 Alexander Akopian (USA) The picture quality sucks. The screen is very dark even when you set it to the maximum brightness and sharpness. I have retuned it the same day. I'd rather pay $200 and get a quality product than a cheap product that won't be useful.
